The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announces that Romania has won the international competition for a judge position at the UN Dispute Tribunal (UNDT). Judge Adina Elvira-Ghiță will take up the position for a seven-year term starting from July 2026.

Romania obtained 109 votes in the UN General Assembly, following a rigorous selection process. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that this victory reflects Romania's reputation in the UN system and continues the series of recent diplomatic successes. Oana Ţoiu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that this achievement is the result of the work of the Romanian diplomatic team and the respect accumulated over time. Judge Adina Elvira-Ghiță highlighted the complexity of the appointment process and thanked for the support received, expressing her desire to contribute honorably to the court's activities.
