In the context of the heatwave and increased energy consumption, Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan assures that Romania will not experience a blackout. Although there may be occasional blackouts, they will be quickly remedied. Solar energy production is at record levels, compensating for the drop in hydro production due to the drought. The National Energy Command is mobilized to monitor the situation and prevent outages. Transelectrica has suspended maintenance work to keep the grid functioning.
