Bogdan Ivan, the Minister of Energy, announced that the new funding package for networks, approved by the EU Council, includes the projects proposed by Romania, aiming at energy interconnection with Austria and Hungary. This initiative is considered a "European energy highway," crucial for reducing energy prices in the region. Ivan emphasized that the issue of high energy prices has been brought up for discussion at the European level, and the funding obtained represents a concrete solution.

The minister has collaborated with European officials and neighboring countries to accelerate these projects, which will integrate Romania into the European energy market, providing access to lower prices and flexibility. Additionally, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan mentioned a memorandum of collaboration between Romania and Hungary to increase electric transport capacity. Ivan concluded that these efforts will bring significant benefits to citizens and companies, ensuring safe and affordable energy.
