The number of ultra-rich Romanians has increased by 93% in the last five years, with Romania ranking 3rd in Europe, after Poland and Turkey, with 749 multimillionaires.

According to Knight Frank data, Romania has recorded a significant increase in the number of multimillionaires, with a rise of 93% from 2021 to 2026, reaching a total of 749 individuals with fortunes exceeding 30 million dollars. This places Romania in 3rd place in Europe, after Poland, which had an increase of 109%, and Turkey, with a growth of 94%.


At the European level, the total number of multimillionaires has increased by 26% in the last five years, and other countries such as Greece, the Czech Republic, and Portugal have reported increases of over 50%. Globally, over 710,000 individuals have net worths exceeding 30 million dollars, of which 25.8% reside in Europe. Germany leads this ranking, followed by the United Kingdom and France, each having a significant number of multimillionaires.
