According to a study by the World Health Organization, Romania has become a world leader in the harmful use of social networks by children. Almost half of them spend over 6 hours a day online, being influenced by dangerous trends. Raed Arafat's proposal to limit access for minors under 15 to these platforms has generated mixed reactions, with ministers not supporting the bans. Experts emphasize the negative effects on education and suggest small steps towards regulation, including collaboration between legislation, education, and monitoring online activity. The "online adulthood law" project proposes a partnership between parents and children for safer internet access. At the European level, similar bans are being discussed to protect minors.
