This decision aims to limit Russian influence on Romanian territory, especially in the context of Moldovan citizens who also have Romanian citizenship. Țoiu emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not taken this measure directly, but is cooperating to ensure national security. He also underlined the importance of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, which must reflect the will of citizens to join the European Union.
