Nicușor Dan announced that Romania is on track to finalize the accession process to the OECD in 2026, following a meeting with Secretary-General Mathias Cormann. Accession to the OECD is considered a strategic objective, bringing benefits such as international recognition as a developed country, attracting foreign investments, and obtaining favorable financing. The president mentioned that more than half of the necessary technical evaluations have been successfully completed.
