The Romanian state has notified the National Museum of History for compensation for the stolen treasures, valued at €5.7 million.

Romania has started the compensation process for four items of treasure, including the Coțofenești Casket, stolen from the Netherlands. The total value of the damage is estimated at €5.7 million, to be paid by an international insurance company.
