In Bucharest, Romanian and American officials discussed the Romania-US Strategic Partnership, underlining the importance of collaboration for regional security. Ionuț Moșteanu emphasized Romania's role as a security provider on NATO's eastern flank, citing investments in defense and the development of military infrastructure, including the Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base. This will become the largest NATO base on the Eastern flank and the aim is to expand defense cooperation.
