Nicușor Dan discussed the opportunities offered by the SAFE Program for the Romanian defense industry, mentioning projects such as Kogălniceanu Base and the Port of Constanța. Romania, located on the eastern flank of Europe, faces additional challenges due to its proximity to Russia, but can contribute to the energy security of the region by extracting gas from the Black Sea starting in 2027.
