The Mayor of Sector 3, Robert Negoiță, declared on Monday, when he went to the police station to prove to the officers that he respects the rules imposed by judicial control, that he contested the measure of judicial control, and the judges will discuss this contestation most likely next week, according to Digi24. He requested not to be filmed because he had a "facial treatment".

Negoiță said that he has not yet paid the bail. When asked by journalists if he will pay the bail, Negoiță replied curtly: "I don't know, we'll see, for now we are analyzing," writes Libertatea.

The Mayor of Sector 3, Robert Negoiță, appeared today in front of the police officers to demonstrate compliance with the rules imposed by judicial control, after being placed under criminal investigation by the DNA. He must pay a bail of 800,000 lei and is not allowed to exercise his function as mayor.

Investigators accuse him of illegally building a road for his brother with public funds, and last week they seized evidence from the town hall and his residence. Negoiță must present himself twice a week at the police station to verify whether he is influencing the investigation and whether he has paid the bail. Prosecutors claim that the mayor ordered the construction of 12 streets, including on private land, ignoring warnings about explosion risks due to Transgaz pipelines. Negoiță is under judicial control and has 7 days to pay the bail.
