A machine hit a gas pipeline in Bascov, Argeș, causing the preventive evacuation of 20 people.

On March 1, in the commune of Bascov, Argeș County, an accident occurred when a vehicle hit a gas branch during a reversing maneuver. The incident took place near a store, and several intervention teams were sent to the scene, including a CBRN team. Firefighters from the Pitești Detachment intervened to ensure the necessary measures were taken. Following the measurements carried out, minor gas leaks were identified, which did not pose a danger to the population. As a precautionary measure, approximately 20 people from a nearby economic operator were evacuated preventively.
