Meteorologists from ANM have issued a red alert for heatwave, valid from Sunday, in the counties of Satu Mare, Bihor, and Arad, where temperatures will exceed 40 degrees Celsius. From August 1 to 3, the heatwave will persist in the west, southwest, center, and north of the country, with yellow and orange alerts in effect.

The thermal discomfort will be heightened, and the temperature-humidity index (THI) will exceed 80 units. Maximum temperatures will range between 33 and 40 degrees, and nights will be tropical, with minimums of 20-25 degrees. Additionally, on Sunday, the heatwave will continue in the mentioned counties, with extreme values and heightened thermal discomfort. Meteorologists recommend caution in extreme heat conditions.
