The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, announced a record participation in the auction for the beaches of Năvodari, with over 300 bids for 58 subsectors. She emphasized the importance of transparency and market consultation in the preparation of the specifications, which included new criteria focused on environmental protection, accessibility for people with disabilities, and sustainable infrastructure.

However, preliminary complaints have emerged from some economic operators, including companies that have had legal issues in the past. Buzoianu mentioned that these complaints come from those who have benefited from monopolies and who oppose changes. She reaffirmed the commitment to fair and transparent auctions, stating that the beaches are not private estates for certain interest groups.
