Realitatea Plus receives a new sanction from CNA for violations of audiovisual legislation

The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) sanctioned Realitatea Plus for multiple violations of audiovisual legislation, after analyzing the station's activity from February 2026. The CNA decided that the station should broadcast the text of the sanctioning decision for three hours, between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Mircea Toma, a CNA member, emphasized that the station's programs had an electoral discourse and mobilized the public for protests, thus violating the obligation to ensure correct information and balance in debates. Additionally, SC PHG MEDIA INVEST SRL, the company operating the station, received a fine of 10,000 lei for administrative non-compliance.

The sanction comes at a critical moment for Realitatea Plus, which is facing declining audience numbers and loss of advertising contracts, especially after a public conflict between Anca Alexandrescu and Călin Georgescu. This situation has led to a significant decrease in viewers, severely affecting the station's revenues.
