Raul Pop was appointed secretary of state at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests on Tuesday, the decision was signed by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. An environmental activist and consultant, Pop previously held the position in 2016 and 2021, with experience in waste management. At the same time, Dan-Ștefan Chiru was relieved of his post after being appointed in 2022 by Nicolae Ciucă.
