The police carried out 62 searches in Bucharest and eight counties, targeting tax evasion of 4.2 million lei. Six people are under judicial control.

The police and prosecutors carried out, on February 26, 62 searches in Bucharest and in the counties of Ilfov, Cluj, Satu Mare, Alba, Brașov, Prahova, Mureș, and Harghita, as part of an investigation into tax evasion in the trade of industrial goods. The accusations target 21 individuals who, between 2021-2025, falsely recorded purchases of goods from shell companies, causing a damage of over 4.2 million lei to the state budget.

Six individuals have been placed under judicial control, and prosecutors have imposed a seizure on real estate, including houses, apartments, and land, as well as on sums of money seized during the searches. The investigation continues under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Tribunal, with the support of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.
