Raed Arafat, head of the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), confirmed that two people have died and 11 have been injured as a result of the incident, which severely affected the structure of the building and those around it. Following the explosion, residents were urgently evacuated, and students and teachers from Bolintineanu High School were also evacuated at the recommendation of ISU, with no casualties reported among them.
