The Plenary of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) has issued a negative opinion on the Draft Law for amending and completing the normative acts regarding service pensions. The CSM's decision, which will include the reasons for the negative opinion, will be sent to the Ministry of Labor on November 28, 2025. The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, emphasized that the CSM's opinion is consultative and that the project will continue to be advanced, even though the judiciary's opinion is known and has been publicly mentioned.

Although he abstained from voting, Marinescu acknowledged the importance of consulting judges in the reform process. Political sources suggest that a new government meeting could take place to approve the project, and the Government might assume responsibility in Parliament for this reform.
