Sorin Grindeanu announced that the first version of the local public administration reform will be presented next week

PSD President Sorin Grindeanu announced on Monday that the first draft version of the local public administration reform will be presented next week, following a meeting of the party’s National Permanent Bureau. The document will be made public by the PSD team working on the project after further rounds of discussions scheduled for this week.

Grindeanu said at the PSD headquarters that the presentation would include the proposals currently being developed for reorganizing local public administration. He noted that the analysis would be based on several criteria, including per capita income and the area of the administrative-territorial units.

The Social Democratic leader said that, after the first version is finalized, he and his colleagues would explain to PSD mayors how the reform is expected to be implemented. Grindeanu argued that the proposals would be understood because of the arguments underpinning them.

Additional meetings are scheduled this week to finalize the document. The first official presentation is expected next week, following the meeting of the PSD national leadership.
