The PSD announced that it will request, in the next meeting of the governing coalition, the elimination of the tax on greenhouses, considering that this measure was introduced without consulting the parties in the coalition. The party argues that, although the law has passed the constitutional review, the Government can intervene through an emergency ordinance to revert to the previous regulation, which exempted greenhouses from tax.

The PSD emphasizes that such taxes do not solve fundamental budgetary problems and calls on ministers from other parties to respect the political decisions agreed upon in the coalition. Starting from January 1, 2026, greenhouses, solar panels, and other household annexes will be taxed, after Parliament eliminated total exemptions. The leader of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, previously rejected the idea of taxation, deeming it unacceptable.
