The Mureș Water Employees Union (SMAR) is protesting today, between 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, at the headquarters of the National Administration 'Apele Române' (ANAR) and the Ministry of Environment.

Employees are complaining about the degradation of social dialogue and administrative measures that affect their income and working conditions. Among the main demands are transparency in negotiating the Collective Labor Agreement, unblocking hiring in operational structures, protecting the income of field staff, and reducing management positions at the central headquarters. SMAR accuses ANAR and the Ministry of Environment of a lack of dialogue and of blocking hiring, promotions, and salary rights for employees involved in emergency situations.

The protest aims to draw attention to the issues faced by employees and will continue until the demands are resolved, including by stopping activities in territorial structures, if necessary.
