Ilie Bolojan stated that Romania has a high level of risk due to the war in Ukraine, generated by Russia's invasion. In a press statement made in Hunedoara, Bolojan emphasized that the presence of the conflict near Romania's borders brings risks in the Black Sea basin area.
He mentioned recent incidents, such as drone debris that entered Romanian territory and a Ukrainian drone that exploded in the Port of Constanța, highlighting that such situations could repeat. The Prime Minister discussed defense measures, including the request to NATO for the deployment of defense equipment at the border, such as radars and anti-drone systems.
Bolojan stressed the importance of increasing the capacity of the Romanian army and partnerships with NATO to ensure national security. He concluded that the decisions made are correct and necessary in the current context.
