Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated in an interview for G4 Media that the negative statements of PSD leaders regarding the political and economic stability of Romania contribute to the increase in interest rates at which the country borrows to cover a record budget deficit, with costs reaching billions of lei.
Bolojan explained that financial markets react negatively to the perception of instability of the governing coalition, which prevents a sufficient decrease in interest rates. Additionally, the Prime Minister warned that this is a crucial moment for political parties ahead of the 2028 elections, emphasizing that citizens will sanction parties that do not demonstrate their usefulness. This is an opportunity for responsible parties to reaffirm their commitment to Romania.
