Postal service revenues increased by 15% in 2024, reaching 6.5 billion lei, with most coming from parcel traffic, which grew by 27%.

According to the ANCOM report, revenues from postal services increased by 15% in 2024, reaching almost 6.5 billion lei. Almost 80% of these revenues came from parcel traffic, which for the first time exceeded the volume of correspondence. The number of parcels sent increased by 27%, reaching 335 million, and domestic deliveries were made on average in 1-2 days. The average revenue per parcel was almost 15 lei. In the local market, the main parcel providers are Delivery Solutions – Sameday, Fan Courier, and Cargus.

In the correspondence segment, revenues were approximately 1 billion lei, although traffic decreased by 5%. Investments in postal services exceeded 500 million lei, and the number of complaints increased by 41%, with increased average compensations. Although the number of employees decreased by 3%, the average revenue per employee increased by 18%, reaching 188,000 lei per year.
