Once the new salary law is applied, politicians holding public office will benefit from significant salary increases, with amounts ranging between 2,800 and 4,500 lei net. This law aims to reduce inequalities in the budgetary system and will bring increases for certain categories, including doctors, teachers, and employees in the Justice system. The current salaries of dignitaries, frozen since 2018, will be adjusted, and the new values will include: the President of Romania will have a net salary of 19,200 lei, the Prime Minister and the Presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate will earn 18,000 lei, while ministers will receive 15,600 lei. Additionally, senators and deputies will have net salaries of 14,400 lei. Authorities promise that no salary will decrease, although not all state employees will benefit from increases.
