Two police officers from Hunedoara saved a 45-year-old man who attempted to commit suicide by hanging, intervening quickly after a call to 112.

Two police officers from Hunedoara managed to save the life of a 45-year-old man who attempted to commit suicide by hanging. The man called 112 but could not communicate with the operator. Suspecting a suicide attempt, the police officers urgently went to his home in Ghelari, trudging 300 meters through the snow. At the scene, they found him hanging and, without hesitation, cut the rope and laid him on the ground.

Although he showed vital signs, the man was not cooperating, so the police officers placed him in a recovery position to prevent the risk of choking. Later, an ambulance crew transported him to the UPU Hunedoara for medical care. The police emphasized the importance of recognizing warning signs in cases of suicide attempts and provided recommendations to help individuals in distress.
