On the night of August 7/8, the Romanian Police Traffic Directorate coordinated an operation to prevent controlled skidding maneuvers in public spaces, which endanger the safety of traffic participants.

Police monitored locations in Ilfov County, such as Voluntari and Snagov, where they identified approximately 100 individuals and 40 vehicles, but without any maneuvers in motion. In Bucharest, 104 individuals and 86 vehicles were checked. Three men were identified for obstructing traffic, and a criminal case was opened against them. In total, 146 vehicles were checked and 68 contraventional sanctions were applied, with a total value of 31,676.50 lei. The police will continue operations to prevent aggressive behavior in traffic and recommend adherence to traffic rules.
