The legislative initiative tabled by PNL and USR senators aims to repeal paragraph 5 of Law 47/1992, which stipulates that CCR judges should receive an amount equivalent to the net allowance for 6 months at the end of their mandate. The measure comes in the context of budget cuts by the Ciolacu government, which has halted such benefits for all civil servants. There are concerns about the lack of necessary funds in the CCR budget for 2025.
