Petrică Popa, a local councilor from PNL in Brăila, was caught in a controversial moment during the oath-taking, when he skipped part of the text, using the interjection 'la, la, la'. This omission drew the attention of those present and was published on the Facebook page debraila.ro.

At 68 years old, Popa has extensive experience in local administration, having held councilor positions since the communist era. He returned to the Municipal Local Council after the resignation of lawyer Nicoleta Ivașcu, being appointed by PNL in her place, despite the existence of other candidates on the party's list. Thus, Petrică Popa continues to carry out his political activity, having a career that spans decades.
