The Municipality of Bucharest (PMB) has announced that the works for the installation of tram tracks on December 1, 1918 Boulevard have begun, as part of a larger project.

According to the statement posted on Facebook, the teams of workers have already brought the sleepers and tracks to the construction site, using trailers, trucks, and a crane.

The works will soon continue on Basarabia Boulevard, where the machinery is transporting the metal mesh and the necessary sleepers. Additionally, PMB mentioned that new tracks have been installed on Theodor Pallady Boulevard. The project is part of Lot 1, the longest and most complex of the 16 tram track lots, with a length of 18 kilometers. The municipality will also modernize four kilometers of the gas network and seven kilometers of water and sewage pipes along the entire length of the works.
