Over 60 passengers from a train heading to the station in Baia Mare were disembarked in the town of Ulmeni after the locomotive caught fire. The incident occurred in Maramureș, and a replacement locomotive intervened on site, safely taking the passengers. The spokesperson for ISU Maramureș, Adriana Șanta, stated that all passengers were evacuated without incidents, and the fire was contained at the level of the locomotive, with no risk of spreading to the carriages. Fortunately, no casualties were reported. To manage the situation, four fire-fighting vehicles and two medical teams were mobilized. The train will resume its route as soon as possible.
