Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, announced the publication of the final report regarding the situation of the lands in the coastal area, highlighting that over 4000 constructions, including multi-storey buildings, are situated on lands that should have been in the property of the Romanian state. The report, prepared by an inter-ministerial committee, emphasizes the issues of urban planning regulation and abuses over the last three decades.
Buzoianu mentioned that dozens of illegal constructions have already been demolished in Năvodari and that the Ministry will continue inspections along the coast. The committee analyzed cadastral documents and court rulings to clarify the legal status of the lands, recommending measures such as the urgent delineation of state lands and the initiation of legal actions to recover them. The report highlights systemic deficiencies and the need to update the legislative framework to prevent similar situations in the future.
