The National Office for Gambling (ONJN) has announced the launch of the 'Aware and Free' program, which will provide non-repayable funding of 5 million euros for projects dedicated to the prevention and treatment of gambling addiction. This program will be available for a period of 30 days, as part of a public consultation, and will focus on protecting minors and vulnerable groups.
The total budget allocated is nearly 25.42 million lei, of which 6 million lei will be allocated to the infrastructure of treatment centers, while the rest will be for education and counseling. The president of ONJN, Vlad-Cristian Soare, emphasized the institution's commitment to implementing preventive measures and digitizing internal processes, including the creation of a support line for addictions. Organizations and authorities are invited to contribute suggestions during the public consultation.
