A 30-year-old man was killed in a moped accident in Argeș county and his passenger, an 8-year-old child, was injured.

The accident took place in Rățești, when the driver of the moped lost control of the direction of travel and crashed into a ditch. The man died on the spot, while the child was taken to hospital. The driver had no driving license and the moped was not registered. Medical crews sent to the scene tried to resuscitate the man without success.
