Minister Oana Țoiu participated in the NATO Foreign Ministers' meeting, where she emphasized that the main objectives include the air defense of allied countries. Țoiu reaffirmed Romania's commitment to a "true peace" at the border, supporting Ukraine's sovereignty. She highlighted the importance of maritime security, mentioning a meeting with Turkey and Bulgaria to discuss the security of the Black Sea.
Additionally, Țoiu stressed the need for military mobility, especially between the Black Sea and the Adriatic Sea. In the context of Russian aggression, she emphasized that facts must take precedence in assessing the situation. Țoiu advocated for better allied coordination in the face of hybrid attacks. After the meeting, she will participate in meetings with counterparts from Ukraine and Moldova to discuss regional security.
