NMA issues two Yellow Code warnings / Temperatures to reach 35 degrees

The National Meteorological Administration has issued two Yellow Code warnings for particularly high temperatures and heat, valid on Wednesday and Thursday, in several counties in the western and south-western parts of the country.
The first warning is in effect on Wednesday, between 12:00 and 18:00. The counties of Satu Mare, Maramureș, Sălaj, Cluj, Bihor, Alba, Hunedoara, Arad, Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți and Dolj are affected. In these areas, maximum temperatures will range between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius, with the highest values forecast in the Western Plain. Meteorologists warn that, in isolated areas, there will be heatwave conditions.
The second warning will be valid on Thursday, during the same time interval, between 12:00 and 18:00. It concerns the counties of Sibiu, Alba, Hunedoara, Caraș-Severin, Mehedinți and Dolj. Maximum temperatures will range between 30 and 34 degrees Celsius.
ANM recommends that the public heed the weather warnings and avoid, as far as possible, prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours.
