President Nicușor Dan declared on Wednesday, in Kyiv, that the declassification of aid provided to Ukraine is a complex issue due to the military component.

Dan emphasized that when a country transfers equipment from its own defense capabilities to another country, it is sometimes necessary for this information to remain secret for security reasons.

“At the moment when a country gives some equipment and takes from its defense capabilities some equipment and moves it elsewhere, it is sometimes good to keep it a military secret.”

His statements come in response to questions regarding the transparency of the aid provided to Ukraine in the context of the current conflict. The president reiterated the importance of keeping some confidential details to protect national interests.
