Nicușor Dan: Romania enhances its defense capacity against drones

The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, addressed on Wednesday the issue of the increasing number of drones that have reached national territory, emphasizing that these incidents are not the result of deliberate actions. He explained that the drones entered Romania accidentally following the attacks on Ukrainian cities at the border.

Nicușor Dan assured that Romania has an improved defense capacity, which will be fully optimized within a year. Additionally, the president mentioned the signing of a protocol with the U.S. Secretary of the Army, which will allow the development of a production and distribution platform for drone and anti-drone systems in real-time, in collaboration with the United States and the United Kingdom.

This initiative responds to the need to rapidly adapt defense technologies to current challenges.
