Nicușor Dan, the President of Romania, announced on social media a productive meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in which they discussed the shared responsibility of Romania and Poland in strengthening continental security.
Dan emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership in the context of geopolitical changes and the commitment of both countries to support Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova in the European integration process. They also agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of defense within NATO, highlighting the need for a strong eastern flank for the security of European citizens. Nicușor Dan's visit to Poland coincides with the celebration of the Romanian-Polish Solidarity Day, marking the historical ties between the two nations. This took place shortly after discussions between the Romanian Foreign Minister and his Polish counterpart.
