The attack targeted a Jewish gathering celebrating Hanukkah on Bondi Beach, where approximately 1,000 participants were present. Nicușor Dan conveyed his thoughts to the Jewish community in Australia and around the world, as well as to the families of the victims. The Premier of New South Wales, Chris Minns, confirmed that the attack was directed against the Jewish community. The President emphasized that "hate and violence have no place in our societies," reaffirming the commitment to pacifist values.
