The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, expressed a firm condemnation of the armed attack that took place in Sydney, Australia, in which 11 people died and another 29 were injured, including two police officers. The attack targeted a Jewish gathering celebrating Hanukkah on Bondi Beach, where approximately 1,000 participants were present. Nicușor Dan conveyed his thoughts to the Jewish community in Australia and around the world, as well as to the families of the victims. The Premier of New South Wales, Chris Minns, confirmed that the attack was directed against the Jewish community. The President emphasized that "hate and violence have no place in our societies," reaffirming the commitment to pacifist values.
