President Nicușor Dan will discuss next week with the leaders of the Coalition about the budget for 2026 and the pensions of magistrates, considering a possible compromise.

President Nicușor Dan announced that next week the leaders of the Coalition will have a meeting at the Cotroceni Palace to discuss various current issues, including the budget for 2026 and the retirement of judges, following the publication of the reasoning by the Constitutional Court.


Nicușor Dan emphasized that the discussions are aimed at reaching a compromise, mentioning that it is important for the project to be assumed by the Government in Parliament and to be debated quickly. He added that there are questions related to possible attacks on the Constitutional Court and their duration. He also mentioned that the period for transmitting the CSM's opinion is part of the current discussions.
