The President of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan, commented on the incident with the Russian drone that flew over Romanian airspace, considering it an accident, similar to other incidents in Europe. He highlighted that, although the drone was active for over three hours, Russia's hostile actions manifest mainly through disinformation and manipulation campaigns, a persistent problem for 10 years.

Regarding the inability to shoot down the drone, Dan mentioned that such situations have occurred in various places in Europe and that they are technical issues. He confirmed that he had discussions with the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff, and the explanations provided in the public space are correct. The drone, which had no explosives, fell in the yard of a local resident in Vaslui after being pursued by fighter jets.
