Nicoleta Pauliuc, the chairwoman of the Senate's Committee on Defense, Public Order, and National Security, stated on March 19 in Bucharest that the Romanian population does not only want to purchase defense equipment but also to produce it in the country. During the event 'National Security Barometer', Pauliuc emphasized that national security has become a topic of interest for citizens, who are questioning their safety.

Pauliuc highlighted the importance of the data presented in the barometer, which reflects public perceptions and citizens' expectations in the field of defense. Pauliuc stated that Romania has the capacity to develop its defense industry and promised legislative support for entrepreneurs and engineers in this sector. She also emphasized the need for an informed society and trustworthy institutions to ensure the future security of the next generations.
