The U.S. Department of Justice recently released millions of documents from Jeffrey Epstein's files, revealing details about his network of contacts and activities. Among these are emails and financial documents that explicitly mention Romania. Epstein had contacts with Romanian professors and researchers, including from the Romanian Academy and the Technical University of Iași, showing an interest in academic collaborations.

Additionally, a foundation controlled by Epstein made payments of over $30,000 to an account in Iași, associated with an alleged co-conspirator. The documents also mention Romania as a source country for trafficking victims, without indicating specific facts. Furthermore, the files reveal correspondence with influential figures such as Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Bill Gates, highlighting the extent of Epstein's social network.
