The DNA prosecutors have sent to trial new individuals involved in the undervalued sale of lands owned by S.C. Parc Industrial Sibiu S.A., a company in which the Local Council of Șelimbăr holds shares. The administrator Eugen Iordănescu is accused of intentionally setting diminished values for the lands, which were later sold at real prices to acquaintances.
These transactions, carried out between 2014 and 2021, generated undue benefits of over 20 million lei. The defendants include administrators and a notary, who were involved in various crimes, including complicity and false testimony. The case has been sent to the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal, where precautionary measures have been proposed on the defendants' assets. The criminal process continues, respecting the principle of presumption of innocence.
