National Flag Day is marked annually on June 26, with ceremonies across the country. In Bucharest, the main event will take place in Tricolorului Square, where the flag will be blessed and hoisted on the flagpole. Similar ceremonies will be held in other cities such as Alba Iulia, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca. In addition, wounded soldiers from the INVICTUS Romania team will climb Omu Peak, carrying a 100-metre national flag symbolizing national unity. The Romanian flag is flown on various occasions, including national holidays and official ceremonies.
