Doctors announce severe complications in the case of Mircea Lucescu. CT investigations have highlighted cerebral ischemic strokes.

The health condition of Mircea Lucescu remains extremely serious, according to the latest medical information. After a complex CT investigation, doctors at the Bucharest University Hospital (SUUB) discovered multiple cerebral ischemic strokes and areas of pulmonary thromboembolism. The patient, at the age of 80, is under the strict supervision of a multidisciplinary team.

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, confirmed the seriousness of the situation, stating that the prognosis is reserved and avoiding speculation regarding recovery chances. Additionally, Mihai Stoichiță, the technical director of FRF, stated that although Lucescu's condition is serious, his parameters are stable. Doctors are discussing the possibility of an intervention to install a mechanical cardiac assist system (ECMO) if conventional treatments are not sufficient. Lucescu was hospitalized urgently on March 29, after suffering an incident during a technical meeting. The hospital will provide updates as the patient's condition evolves.
