Minister Radu Miruță stated that raising the alert level to "BRAVO" in military bases in Romania reflects an increased vigilance related to the evolution of the situation in Iran, but does not indicate an imminent risk of war. He mentioned that throughout the year, the alert level changes frequently, without being associated with armed conflicts.
Checks at the entrances to military bases have been intensified, including vehicle inspections. However, analyses conducted by the Military Intelligence Directorate do not show any indicators suggesting an additional danger to Romania or its citizens.
The checks have also been confirmed by the defense ministries of other NATO countries, thus ensuring an accurate assessment of the situation.
