The Sector 6 City Hall has announced that the Feasibility Study for the Military Greenhouses Park, located on Prelungirea Ghencea, is nearly completed, taking into account the requirements of the local community.

The interim mayor, Paul Moldovan, emphasized the importance of having a detailed understanding of the existing vegetation before developing the park. In this regard, a dendrological study is being conducted that analyzes approximately 7.5 hectares of land, using drones and 3D LiDAR technology to map an area of nearly 58,000 square meters. Each tree is evaluated, and valuable species are identified for protection, while invasive ones require intervention.

The first phase of the project will transform 27,650 square meters into a modern park, as part of a broader plan to revitalize the 72 hectares of the former Military Greenhouses.

The administration emphasizes its commitment to building the park responsibly, in collaboration with the community and with respect for nature.
